  • This company had pension commitments with its employees in the way of income. The income calculation was linked to the employees’ wages and, therefore, the CPI. 

Problem

  • The CPI isn’t a fixed percentage, so being a variable factor, it could jeopardise the company’s future expenditure even if it made provision for the potential amounts to guarantee the payout agreed. 

Solution

  • VidaCaixa found the formula to ensure that the client had a CPI guarantee for increasing income.  
  • We designed an investment product that guaranteed the CPI variation, whatever it may be, but without increasing the premium for the policyholder.
